Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse to develop and implement resident care plans, collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing assistants, and provide nursing diagnoses to guide care.

The RN will record medication administration, supervise staff to follow safety regulations, and ensure state and facility procedures are followed. Flexibility in hours is required.

Qualifications

• RN license active and in good standing.
• Experience working with residents in a nursing environment preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians, therapists and nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement nursing care plans and diagnoses.
• Collaborate with the resident and healthcare team to ensure optimal care.
• Record administration of medications accurately.
• Monitor staff to ensure safety regulations and procedures are followed.

Job description

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse include but are not limited to:

• Ensures proper resident care is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
• Develop and ensure the nursing care plan and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing assistants
• Makes nursing diagnoses, which serve as the basis for the strategy of care
• Collaborates with the resident, members of the healthcare team
• Records the administration of medication
• Monitor assigned staff to ensure established safety regulations are followed and that all tasks are performed following all state and government regulations and safety procedures as outlined by the facility
• Follows procedures related to the use of nursing equipment and supplies
• Performs other duties as directed

Qualifications of the Registered Nurse include:

• An active RN license
• 1 year experience
• Prior experience as an RN in a nursing community
• The desire to care for residents and act with integrity
• The ability to work flexible hours
• Rehab Experience prefereed
