Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Renewable Natural Gas Production Manager in Pocomoke City, MD to lead RNG facilities from development through production optimization. The role interfaces with planning, sales, construction, engineering, operators, and vendors to align operations with strategic goals.

You will manage budgeting, market analysis, process improvements, and regulatory compliance for EPA RFS, RIN, LCFS, and other programs, while guiding a team and partners toward safe,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; in lieu of degree, equivalent work experience may be considered.
• 2+ years experience in RNG, gas processing, midstream operations, biogas systems, or related energy industry.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel to facilities/sites.
• Strong verbal and written communication, with ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
• Industry certifications preferred.
• Leadership and management capabilities with strategic planning and stakeholder engagement.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical, operational, and commercial management of RNG facilities, including budgeting, market analysis, process optimization, and production performance.
• Oversee facility operations, maintenance, reliability, and safety to ensure uptime and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with EPA RFS, RIN, LCFS, and related programs and maintain regulatory records.
• Manage relationships with third-party verifiers, consultants, contractors, and service providers.
• Develop asset management strategies and scalable project delivery with cross-functional teams and partners.
• Apply project/change management, KPIs, and data-driven analysis to drive improvements.
• Identify and mitigate risks and evaluate incentives to maximize returns.
• Build strategic relationships with customers, suppliers, regulators, and stakeholders.
