Job summary

BayCare Health System Staffing Resource Office is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) for 13-week assignments in Clearwater. The RNFA will join a staffing pool with unit-provided schedules and block scheduling limitations.

Responsibilities include trocar insertion and local anesthetic administration under surgeon supervision, with at least 3 years of acute care RN OR experience. Preferred CNOR and technical program completion.

Qualifications

• 3 years acute care RN Operating Room experience; proficient in robotics, ortho, plastics and general.
• CNOR certification required.
• Current RN licensure and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide RN First Assistant services under surgeon supervision.
• Demonstrate leadership and mentorship within the nursing team.
• Assist with trocar insertion and local anesthetic administration as directed.
• Maintain patient safety and infection control throughout procedures.
