Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant to support perioperative care across the OR and related areas. The role requires active RN licensure in Georgia and completion of an AORN RN First Assistant program, with CNOR, CRNFA, BCLS, ACLS, and PALS as applicable.

The RNFA will function as the primary assistant during operative and invasive procedures and may serve as an RN circulator to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program.
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, which includes didactic and clinical components.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective perioperative care in the OR and perioperative areas.
• Act as RN First Assistant during operative and invasive procedures and throughout perioperative continuum.
• Occasionally act as RN circulator to support patient safety and quality outcomes.
