Job description

DEL-AIR is a growing industry leader with seven locations serving Central Florida: Clermont, Davenport, Tampa, Jacksonville, Melbourne, Sanford (headquarters), and Sarasota.

Primary Responsibilities: Perform RNC Service Tech duties on air conditioning units in residential homes for customers.

Specific Duties & Tasks:

1. Perform start-ups on new HVAC equipment.
2. Braze and solder various metals to connect piping.
3. Install, modify, or repair air ducts, indoor units, drain pans, drain lines, and outdoor units.
4. Install and calibrate thermostats, humidistats, solenoids, and timers.
5. Inspect inoperative indoor or outdoor units to locate causes of trouble.
6. Disassemble indoor or outdoor units, and replace or repair defective parts.
7. Perform preventive maintenance on drain cleaning, coil sanitizing, and motor lubrication.
8. Evaluate the operation of equipment after repairs using gauges, voltmeters, leak detectors, sling pycnometers, static, and velocity instruments.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of HVAC field experience.
• Graduated from an accredited HVAC technical program.
• EPA, Type II certification, Universal or higher.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 15 months and ability to meet FCCI auto guidelines to operate a company vehicle.
• Ability to work on an on-call rotation when assigned.
• Experience with low & high voltage wiring.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
• At least 18 years old.
• Successfully complete a background check and drug screening.
