Addition Therapeutics, based in South San Francisco, is seeking a Research Associate for its Therapeutic Technologies team. You will produce RNA reagents via IVT and conduct cell-based assays to evaluate payload performance from discovery onward.

You will work with RNA sciences, protein engineering, and program teams to keep the experimental engine running. The role requires bench-focused, hands-on experience in RNA handling and cell culture, with a track record of generating high-quality data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, biotechnology, or a related field.
• Hands-on mammalian cell culture and transfection experience.
• Experience with RNA handling and RNase-free technique.
• Demonstrated reliability, organization and ability to produce reproducible data.

Responsabilités

• Produce RNA by in vitro transcription (IVT) and finalize material to defined specs.
• Perform RNA quality control and maintain traceable records for each lot.
• Maintain mammalian cell lines and disease models to ensure assay-ready cells.
• Deliver RNA into cells via transfection, lipofection, or nucleofection across cell types.
• Run readout assays (luciferase, ELISA, qPCR/ddPCR, flow, microscopy) and generate data.
• Document results in ELN and assist with troubleshooting and protocol refinement.
• Help keep the lab stocked and maintain instruments.
