Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services in San Diego, CA is seeking a Group Leader to provide technical leadership for RNA-therapeutic method establishment and routine testing. Lead a team of scientists, oversee lab operations, recruit and train staff, and maintain strong client relationships to ensure high-quality results.

The role requires a strong background in analytical platforms, documentation, and QA collaboration, with emphasis on mentoring to achieve milestones and quality objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and relevant competency with at least 2 years of directly related experience.
• US work authorization without sponsorship.
• Experience or interest in RNA-therapeutic methodologies (mRNA, gRNA, ASO, siRNA) encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of scientists to achieve objectives.
• Oversee daily laboratory operations and resource scheduling to meet milestones.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new employees.
• Cultivate client relationships and deliver high-quality results.
• Author and review protocols and technical documentation.
• Provide technical leadership for method establishment across analytical platforms.
• Communicate project risks and schedule impacts to management.
• Develop innovative approaches and troubleshoot analytical challenges.
• Review investigations, deviations, and data; conduct root cause analyses.
• Collaborate with QA for corrective/preventive actions.
