Scripps Research in La Jolla, California, seeks a Postdoctoral Associate to join the Williamson Lab on a multi-omics project linking methionine metabolism with RNA modifications in cancer cells. The role involves collaboration across labs and advanced techniques across metabolomics, RNA biology, and proteomics.

Applicants should have a PhD (or equivalent) and a strong background in cell biology, with experience in CRISPR, cell culture, and chemical biology approaches.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Ph.D., M.D., D. Phil., or equivalent degree from a recognized institution of higher learning.
• Candidates with cell biology experience including cell culture, immunofluorescence, CRISPR knockouts, and probing metabolic pathways are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Work on a project coupling methionine metabolism to RNA modifications in cancer cells.
• Collaborate with the Siuzdak lab and Johns Hopkins teams; apply multi-omics approaches (metabolomics, modomics, RNA-seq, Ribo-seq, proteomics).
• Mentor and train in scholarly competence under a Scripps Research Faculty member; participate in postdoctoral program activities.
