Job summary

Prime Medicine, Inc. is seeking an Associate Scientist/Engineer II to join the RNA chemistry team within Technology, Development and Operations (TDO). You will work with scientists and engineers to support development, optimization, and tech transfer of a manufacturing process for Prime Editing.

The role spans chemistry, biology, and bioprocessing in a fast-paced, cross-functional setting. The ideal candidate will contribute to IND-enabling work, regulatory documentation, and data-driven

Qualifications

• BS or MS in biotechnology, engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, or related life science discipline with ideally 3+ years (BS) or 1+ years (MS) of relevant industry experience in biotech/biopharma.
• Experience in chemistry process development of complex biomolecules; experience in oligonucleotide synthesis or downstream purification is a plus.
• Fast learner with ability to understand process development and operate equipment for RNA manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine solid-phase chemical synthesis of long guide RNA and downstream purification including chromatography, TFF and lyophilization at different scales.
• Collaborate to discuss technical findings and incorporate into process design for manufacturing.
• Manufacture IND-enabling and GLP/GMP RNA guides to support Prime Editing programs.
