Job summary

The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is seeking a Registered Nurse 3 to oversee health care delivery for youth in a secure juvenile rehabilitation setting at Echo Glen Children’s Center in Snoqualmie, WA. This full-time role provides advanced clinical nursing care and supervises nursing and allied staff to ensure compliance with standards.

You will conduct health assessments, immunizations, medication administration, infection control and outbreak response; develop/update

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
valid Washington State Registered Nurse License.
Three (3) years of professional nursing experience, including supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee health assessments, physical exams, and immunizations within required timelines.
Oversee medication administration processes, including controlled substances.
Monitor infection control, chronic disease programs, and outbreak response.
Develop, update, and implement nursing policies and procedures.
Maintain staffing schedules and approve leave.
Conduct evaluations and corrective action.
Respond to facility medical emergencies, including trauma, overdose, or acute illness.
Coordinate off-site care and specialty referrals, and transport youth for medical care as needed.
Lead continuous quality improvement efforts and integrate reentry-focused health care planning.
