Deliver Exceptional Care: Associate Nurse Unit Manager Wanted

As an RN2A Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will utilize your exceptional leadership abilities to guide and mentor a team of skilled mental health nurses. This pivotal role demands strong clinical expertise, allowing you to provide exemplary care to older adults with mental health needs. Your commitment to promoting a positive and collaborative work environment will inspire your team to deliver the highest standards of patient-centred care.

About the role:

Reporting to the Team Manager & Nurse Consultant, involves providing nursing and/or midwifery services with mental health experience which has been consolidated by experience and/or further study with staff at this level developing from competent to proficient practitioners.Duties for the role will include:

  • Provide proficient, person centred, clinical nursing/midwifery care and/or individual case management to patients/clients in a defined clinical area,
  • Participate in clinical teaching, overseeing learning experience, and goal setting for students, new staff and staff with less experience,

About you:

  • Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds a current practicing certificate. Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice,
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines, whilst working under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within the healthcare setting.
  • Proven experience in basic computing skills, including email and word processing
