Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington is seeking an experienced RN Wound Care Specialist. The role integrates wound care therapy into the overall nursing plan and involves patient/family teaching while collaborating with the nursing team to uphold professional standards.

The position reports to the Director of Wound Care and requires an active RN license, CPR, and 2 years of direct patient care experience; Wound Care Certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and a current RN license in the state of employment.
• Certification from an approved Wound Care Certification course preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates wound care therapy into the total nursing care plan for patients.
• Participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership with the care team.
• Maintains standards for professional nursing practice; reports to the Director of Wound Care.
