WOUND CARE NURSE

• Department: Wound Care


• Schedule: FT Days 8a-4:30p, Weekdays, Occasional Weekends And Holidays


• Hospital: Henry Ford Health Genesys


• Location: Grand Blanc, Michigan

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Responsibilities: Implements and monitors patient care plans.
Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Education/Experience Requirements

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing


• Requires BSN, graduation from an approved professional (RN) nursing program.


• Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA), or Certified Instructor.


• 3 years of acute care hospital experience.


• Wound care experience preferred.
  Good communication skills and desire to educate patients, families, and other associates.
