Job summary

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in Mississippi or compact state.
• BLS/NRP/ACLS per facility policy.
• OB/Nursery obstetric experience preferred.
• 6+ months obstetrical nursing in acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in obstetrics, labor & delivery, postpartum, and nursery.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans for mothers and infants.
• Monitors fetal heart tones, vital signs, and patient status during labor and postpartum.
• Administers medications, performs procedures, and assists physicians with exams and deliveries.
• Educates patients and families on postpartum care, infant care, breastfeeding, and discharge instructions.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and patient responses promptly.
