Job summary

Trinity Employment is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Women\'s Services in Rutherfordton, NC. Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) with rotating weekends. Direct Hire opportunity.

Join a close-knit team covering Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Antepartum. You will assess patients, develop care plans, educate families, and ensure safe, evidence-based maternal and newborn care while collaborating with physicians.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina RN license or Compact RN license with North Carolina endorsement.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• 2+ years of Women\'s Services and Labor & Delivery experience required for PRN positions.
• Strong critical-thinking, clinical judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, develop individualized care plans, and monitor treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and provide accurate documentation and handoffs.
• Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Provide maternal care for labor, delivery, preeclampsia, preterm labor, and fetal demise.
• Manage Pitocin inductions and augmentations and perform non-stress test evaluations.
• Care for post-operative C-section and gynecological patients.
• Provide newborn care, including oxygen, IV therapy, antibiotics, phototherapy, and premature infant care.
• Assist with IUPC placement, amnioinfusions, newborn circumcisions, and car seat testing.
• Demonstrate competency in NG tube placement and feeding.
• Follow safe medication administration practices and support discharge planning.
