Starr Regional Medical Center is currently seeking qualified talent to fill the position of Registered Nurse (RN) in our Women’s Services Department. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Core Competencies include:
  • Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
  • Establishes a plan of care appropriate to identified problems, involving the patient according to their capabilities and desires.
  • Performs interventions such as medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Documents patient care accurately.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care, transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
  • Evaluates learning needs and provides education to patients and families.
  • Acts as an advocate for the patient’s physical and emotional well-being.
Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

  • Associate’s degree in Nursing (Required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Preferred)

Required Licenses:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or another compact state.

Required Skills:

  • Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - required at hire
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - required within 6 months of hire
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) - required within 6 months of hire

Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a stressful environment. Must pass a Medication Administration Exam with a score of at least 85%.
