Starr Regional Medical Center is currently seeking a talented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Women’s Services Department. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Core competencies include, but are not limited to:
  • Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
  • Establishes a care plan addressing identified problems, involving the patient according to their capabilities and desires.
  • Performs interventions such as medication administration, specimen collection, and other treatments.
  • Documents patient care provided.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family as appropriate.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and mobility.
  • Collaborates across disciplines for patient care coordination, transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
  • Evaluates learning needs and provides education to patients and families tailored to their age, culture, and condition.
  • Acts as an advocate for the patient’s physical and emotional well-being.
Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

  • Associate’s degree in Nursing (Required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Preferred)

Required Licenses:

  • RN License in Tennessee or another compact state

Required Skills:

  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required at hire)
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (Required within 6 months of hire)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) (Required within 6 months of hire)
  • Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work independently, and in stressful environments.
  • Must pass a Medication Administration Exam with at least 85% score.
