Description:
Starr Regional Medical Center is currently seeking a talented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Women’s Services Department. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Core competencies include, but are not limited to:
- Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
- Establishes a care plan addressing identified problems, involving the patient according to their capabilities and desires.
- Performs interventions such as medication administration, specimen collection, and other treatments.
- Documents patient care provided.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family as appropriate.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and mobility.
- Collaborates across disciplines for patient care coordination, transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
- Evaluates learning needs and provides education to patients and families tailored to their age, culture, and condition.
- Acts as an advocate for the patient’s physical and emotional well-being.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
- Associate’s degree in Nursing (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Preferred)
Required Licenses:
- RN License in Tennessee or another compact state
Required Skills:
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required at hire)
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (Required within 6 months of hire)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) (Required within 6 months of hire)
- Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work independently, and in stressful environments.
- Must pass a Medication Administration Exam with at least 85% score.
