Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) for the Behavioral Health Service Line (BHSL) Women's Inpatient Unit at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences delivers direct patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team. The RN upholds clinical standards and provides leadership to the nursing staff on the unit on the main campus.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, plus education and discharge planning for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate's Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, or Master's Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience.
• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Arkansas.
• Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethic and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to a variety of patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Provide leadership to nursing team under supervision of the Clinical Services Manager.
• Complete and review Plan of Care, implement orders, and evaluate progress.
• Educate patients and families and assist with discharge planning.
• Administer medications per standard.
• Serve as a resource for students and staff.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
