Job summary

Cook Children’s is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide skilled care in the Neurosciences Unit at Medical Center – Fort Worth. You will apply the nursing process, support the medical plan, and collaborate with a care team to meet patient and family needs with sound clinical judgment. Shift 7a–7p; 24 hours per week.

Available dates: 10/5/26–3/6/27 and 11/2/26–4/3/27. Compensation: $82.50/hr plus shift diffs; completion bonus if all hours and requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Texas RN license is required; BLS is required; PALS/NRP encouraged and must be maintained if presented on hire.

Summary:

The Registered Nurse will deliver competent and skilled care to patients and families according to their identified needs. Nursing care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment. The Registered Nurse will deliver care with a team-orientation, an emphasis on good customer relations, sound clinical judgment and appropriate decision-making abilities that take into consideration evidenced based practice.

Shift:

7a - 7p Winter Plan 2026-2027

Available Assignment Dates: 10/5/26 - 3/6/27 11/2/26 - 4/3/27

• Rate: $82.50/hr plus shift diffs
• Completion Bonus at the end of the assignment if all hours/requirements have been met.

Requirements:

• 24 hours per week (4) day
• New Hire/Patient Care Orientation

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 2 years RN experience or successful completion of a Cook Children’s Winter Plan contract required.

Certification/Licensure:

• Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas required.
• Current BLS required PALS or NRP strongly encouraged and if presented upon hire, must maintain certification without lapsing.
• Certification as necessary in certain areas in the Medical Center.
