Job summary

Circle of Life is seeking a Registered Nurse to work in Northwest Arkansas or NE Oklahoma with home hospice visits as needed. You will participate in an interdisciplinary team, provide direct patient care, assess medical needs, and support families through end-of-life care.

• Current unrestricted RN license in Arkansas, Oklahoma, or a compact state.
• BSN not required but preferred; clinical competencies in hospice/home health nursing.
• Experience with charting systems and electronic medical records is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care visits in hospice, including assessments and symptom management.
• Liaise with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
• Assist with admissions, triage calls, and end-of-life support.
• Document care activities clearly and maintain calm, compassionate communication.
• Drive to patient homes using personal vehicle as needed and required.

Job description

This position will be based out of a facility in Northwest Arkansas or NE Oklahoma. Will make home hospice nursing visits as needed and in rotation with other teammates. Hospice nursing provides a meaningful connection with patients and families. Our nurses take their time and have incredible amounts of 1:1 time to coach and educate patients and families in our care. General Description:

The RN is an integral part of the hospice interdisciplinary care team and as such is responsible for providing patient care visits, assessing medical needs, liaising with physicians, attending deaths, triage calls, and assisting with the admission process. The RN must have an understanding that hospice care must be delivered according to accepted standards of practice, guided by the mission of the organization and the patient/family's needs and concerns, the RN blends all services of the hospice into an integrated program of support.

Requirements:

• Current unrestricted AR, OK, or compact RN license
• BLS certification
• Strong assessment skills with critical thinking and high level of problem solving within a healthcare facility.
• Strong documentation and communication with the ability to stay calm and cope with human suffering/emergencies.
• Prefer hospice experience, home health, or acute care nursing experience with computer charting experience.
• Position requires use of personal vehicle, a valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
