Job summary

Circle of Life in Northwest Arkansas, NE Oklahoma is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide home hospice visits and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team. You will deliver compassionate, patient-centered care with 1:1 coaching for patients and families, in a facility-based and field mix, in rotation with teammates.

The role includes night differential, mileage reimbursement, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN license (AR/OK/compact)
• BLS certification
• Strong assessment skills with critical thinking and problem solving
• Strong documentation and communication abilities, ability to stay calm under pressure
• Hospice, home health, or acute care nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care visits and assess medical needs.
• Liaise with physicians and assist with admissions.
• Triage calls and respond to urgent patient needs.
• Attend deaths and support the care team.
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver integrated hospice care.

Job description

Shift Options Include 4pm-8am, or 8pm - 8am.

This position will be based out of a facility in Northwest Arkansas or NE Oklahoma. Will make home hospice nursing visits as needed and in rotation with other teammates. Hospice nursing provides a meaningful connection with patients and families. Our nurses take their time and have incredible amounts of 1:1 time to coach and educate patients and families in our care. General Description

The RN is an integral part of the hospice interdisciplinary care team and as such is responsible for providing patient care visits, assessing medical needs, liaising with physicians, attending deaths, triage calls, and assisting with the admission process. The RN must have an understanding that hospice care must be delivered according to accepted standards of practice, guided by the mission of the organization and the patient/family's needs and concerns, the RN blends all services of the hospice into an integrated program of support.

Requirements

Current unrestricted AR, OK, or compact RN license, BLS certification, strong assessment skills with critical thinking and high level of problem solving within a healthcare facility. Strong documentation and communication with the ability to stay calm and cope with human suffering/emergencies. Prefer hospice experience, home health, or acute care nursing experience with computer charting experience.

Position requires use of personal vehicle, a valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
