Job description

Cleveland Clinic is seeking an RN for the Weekender - Med/Surg Float Pool at Avon Hospital, Avon, OH. This position is part of Cleveland Clinic's Weekender Flex Program, requiring two 12-hour weekend shifts and one weekday shift, with options starting at 7:00pm on Fridays and ending at 7:30am on Mondays. Although working 36 hours, caregivers are paid for 44 hours and receive full-time benefits, allowing for personal time during the week.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing direct nursing care
• Implementing and monitoring patient care plans
• Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions
• Administering medications and treatments
• Following physician and nursing orders
• Assessing and coordinating discharge needs
• Educating patients and families

Minimum qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• Current RN licensure in Ohio
• BLS certification from AHA
• At least one year of acute care RN experience (military experience considered)

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Physical requirements:

• Medium work, exerting 20-50 pounds occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly

Protective equipment:

• Uses PPE as required, following standard precautions
