Education/Experience/Skills Requirements:

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing preferred.
• Current registered nursing license in the state of the facility required.
• Greater than 1 year of experience as an RN strongly preferred.
• 1 year of experience as an RN in any setting required.
• 1 year in psychiatric/recovery programs preferred.
• Some experience as a charge RN or other leadership position strongly preferred.

Purpose:

Responsible for daily nursing operations, ensuring adequate staffing, overseeing delivery of behavioral health/nursing services with professionalism and empathy, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. Patient safety is a top priority.

• Manage census and acuity, allocate resources accordingly.
• Model excellent customer service and patient safety urgency.
• Enforce policies, ensure proper staffing, complete chart checks, and audits.
• Assist with staff orientation, coaching, mentoring, and training.
• Ensure compliance with standards, monitor patient care quality, coordinate care, document, administer medications, and develop care plans.
• Prioritize tasks, delegate, oversee admissions/discharges, and utilize on-call resources.
• Provide direct care as needed.

Other Functions:

Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Licenses/Certifications:

Current state license, CPR, de-escalation/restraint certification (training provided), and first aid as required.
