Qualifications

  • 5 years of RN critical care experience required.
  • Current State of Illinois RN licensure.
  • Must hold a CPR certification and ACLS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 – The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

Sign on bonus: $10,000 sign on bonus for RNs with 5+ years of critical care experience paid in two installments ($5,000 at 3 months and $5,000 at 12 months)

Position: RN Weekender - Cardiac Neuro ICU

Location: Edward Main Hospital

Full Time: 36 hours/week

Hours: Days 7:00am–7:30pm

What you will need:

Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing

Required Education, Skills and/or Experience:

  • 5 years of RN critical care experience
  • Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
  • If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date.

Required License and/or Certification:

  • Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
  • Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within six months of start date into position

What you will do:

  • Provide professional nursing care according to the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures
  • Employ critical thinking skills, assess patients’ condition, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care, monitor patients’ progress, and record pertinent observations
  • Delegate appropriate patient care tasks to other staff
  • Function as a team member to fulfill unit goals
  • Duties may vary by assigned unit or shift
