Job summary

Fuquay-Varina Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Nurse for an every-other-weekend position in Fuquay-Varina, NC. You will conduct wound assessments, develop care plans, administer treatments, and monitor healing progress as part of a collaborative care team.

The role emphasizes prevention, documentation accuracy, and patient comfort, with opportunities to educate staff and contribute to infection control and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered NC RN license.
• Wound care experience required (certification preferred).
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Strong assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize clinical needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly and ongoing wound assessments.
• Develop and update individualized wound care treatment plans.
• Administer prescribed treatments and dressing changes.

Fuquay-Varina Health & Rehabilitation Center – Fuquay-Varina, NC

Fuquay-Varina Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Nurse to join our team in every other weekend position.

As a Wound Nurse, you are at the forefront of our ability to provide Care Beyond Compare through specialized wound assessment, treatment, and prevention. In this role, you will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure residents receive the highest quality of care, promoting healing, comfort, and improved outcomes.
