Job summary

Touchstone Communities in Brownsville, TX is seeking an RN Weekend Supervisor to join its leadership team. You will guide nursing staff, ensure resident-centered care, and uphold regulatory standards.

This role requires an active Texas RN license, at least 2 years in long-term care, and proven supervisory ability. You will mentor LVNs and CNAs, coordinate shifts, and promote compassionate, high-quality care for Veterans.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Texas RN license or Compact State RN license.
• Minimum of two (2) years of long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to resident advocacy and quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing team members during assigned shifts.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality resident-centered care in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Monitor and evaluate resident conditions, responding promptly to clinical concerns and changes in condition.
• Serve as a resource and mentor for LVNs, CNAs, and other clinical team members.
• Promote a positive and collaborative work environment that supports engagement, retention, and professional growth.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident wellbeing and positive clinical outcomes.
• Assist with staffing coordination, clinical oversight, and shift operations.
• Support compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies and procedures.
• Foster meaningful connections with residents, families, and fellow team members through the Touchstone Experience.
