Responsibilities include assessing residents on admission and as conditions change, conducting rounds, guiding daily nursing operations, communicating with shifts, and reporting to the Director of Nursing Services; NJ RN license and RN-BSN required.

Qualifications

• Active NJ RN license in good standing.
• RN-BSN is required.
• Minimum 5+ years nursing experience in a hospital, nursing home or other healthcare setting.
• Minimum 1 year of nurse supervisor experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises clinical care planning and delivery to coordinate quality patient care.

• Performs rounds to evaluate patient condition and deliver direct care when needed.
• Obtains and implements Physician Orders, ensuring accuracy.
• Communicates changes in resident condition between shifts.

• Ensures nursing staff perform duties per standards and reports to the Director of Nursing Services.

Alaris Health at Cedar Grove, a190 bed-skilled nursing Center in Cedar Grove, New Jersey, seeks an RN Weekend Supervisor to assist and support the Center’s nursing philosophy and translate it into a nursing system. Additional responsibilities include:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervises the clinical care planning and delivery processes to ensure the coordination of quality patient care.

• Assesses residents/clients upon admission and periodically as conditions change

• Performs rounds to evaluate patient condition

• Provides or assists with the delivery of direct patient care when indicated, including activities of daily living, meal assistance, medication and treatment administration, and leisure activities when indicated

• Obtains and implements Physician Orders, checking for accuracy and completeness

• Communicates between shifts regarding changes in resident/patient condition

• Provides clinical assessment to MD/NPs on call for quality outcomes delivered to patients

• Make daily rounds of the Nursing Services Department to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.

• Report findings to the Director of Nursing Services

• Make appropriate reports to the Director of Nursing Services, as required or as may be necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active NJ RN license in good standing required

• RN-BSN Required

• Minimum 5+ years nursing experience in a hospital, nursing home or other healthcare setting and a minimum 1-year experience as a nurse supervisor

• Strong knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care centers.
