Job summary

McLeod Health in Manning, AR is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Weekend Only Work Staffing Program (WOW). This full-time position covers 72 hours bi-weekly, daytime shifts, and focuses on delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care across units.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, planning and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with physicians and the health care team. Prioritize safety, documentation, and precepting new staff as needed.

Qualifications

• ADN required.
• RN license in SC (or eligible in SC).

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data.
• Plan individualized nursing care to meet the holistic age specific needs of patients.
• Provide appropriate nursing interventions, consistent with the Plan of Care and standards of practice, incorporating the Physician’s prescribed medical plans of care.
• Conduct Hourly Rounds.
• Foster an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, and visitors.
• Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patient and staff.
• Utilize standard work in caring for central lines, foley catheters, pressure ulcers, ventilators (if applicable to unit), restraints and patients at risk for falls.
• Contribute to the daily efficient performance of the department, as charge nurse when assigned (Advanced Resuscitative).
• Certification appropriate to their patient population if serving in a Charge Nurse or PCS position).
• Contribute to the overall performance of the department through the precepting of novice employees.
