Job summary

Shepherd Center is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to provide basic patient care in an ethical, confidential setting. This role supports the professional development of unit staff within a Shared Governance nursing model.

You will work on a multidisciplinary team and be empowered to advocate for your patients, with an average 51-day length of stay, and opportunities for on-site education and growth within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a nursing program from an accredited college or university.
  • New graduates of a nursing program are eligible.
  • BLS from American Heart Association.
  • Active Georgia RN license or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.

  • Provide basic care to patients in an inpatient setting.
  • Interact with and contribute to the professional development of unit staff in a Shared Governance model.
  • Work on a multidisciplinary team and advocate for patients.
  • Build relationships with patients, who have a ~51‑day average length of stay.

The Inpatient Registered Nurse RN provides basic care to patients, performing all job functions in an ethical manner and ensuring patient safety, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality. This role interacts with and contributes to the professional development and image of all unit staff practicing in a Shared Governance model of nursing practice.
