Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Neurology 8 East unit. The role involves direct patient care, ongoing assessments, and coordination with physicians and teams to deliver high-quality neuro care.
The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, with weekday day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Sign-on bonuses are available for experienced and new graduate nurses, supporting a rewarding start at Mercy.
Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
Neurology 8 East cares for patients with conditions such as strokes, seizures, brain tumors, and brain bleeds. Nurses gain valuable experience with complex neuro assessments, safety‑focused care, and close collaboration with neurology providers and therapy teams.
The Neurology RN provides direct patient care using the nursing process while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include ongoing patient assessments, care coordination, documentation, and delivering compassionate, patient‑centered care consistent with Mercy’s mission and values.
