Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver direct and collaborative patient care in a busy acute care setting. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, applying the nursing process and evidence-based practice to relieve pain, ensure safety, and respect patient dignity.

Required to hold a Florida RN license and BLS/CPR certification, with 1 year of acute care experience; a Bachelor's in Nursing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing is required.
• Florida RN license is required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification from an AHA‑recognized instructor is required.
• 1 year of acute care experience is required.

Your Role:

• Assume direct and indirect responsibility for the patient's care environment.
• The primary responsibility is to provide care through collaboration with health care team members and the autonomous application of the nursing process.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and role modeling for other members of the health care team.
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordination and delegation of care in a safe, secure and clean environment.
• Care provided displays respect for the patient’s rights, dignity, values, confidentiality and expressed needs.
• Be adaptable, using evidenced based practice and information technologies while maintaining focus on providing comfort, relieving pain and alleviating anxiety.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

• Associates Degree in Nursing

Preferred Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Required Experience:

• 1 year of acute care experience required

Preferred Experience:

• 2-5 years’ experience as RN

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Current license to practice as an RN in Florida
• Must have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an accredited instructor from the American Heart Association (AHA) and/or other specialized life support requirements designated by work area.
