Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Logan, OH is seeking registered nurses for in-home visits in a Visit Nurse role. Part-time and PRN schedules are available, with visits typically 35 minutes to 1 hour in the patient’s home and duties like med passes, insulin assistance, and wound care.

As a Maxim nurse you will use the nursing process to plan and evaluate care, administer prescribed treatments, and document outcomes. Training, licensing support, and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license for the state of practice.
• Current Health Certificate as required by facility/state.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Initiate the plan of care and revise as patient needs change.
• Administer medications and treatments and document effectiveness.
• Coordinate care, teaching, and discharge planning as applicable.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility RN contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
