Job summary

St. Elizabeth is seeking an RN Virtual Health Triage Nurse for a part-time 24-hour third shift, primarily remote after training. The role triages inbound calls, provides protocol-based guidance, and schedules patient appointments.

Multistate RN licensure and active nursing license in KY, IN, or OH are required, with Ohio/Indiana licenses to be obtained within 30 days of hire. Minimum an Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NLC) in KY, IN or OH.
• Minimum 3 years RN experience.
• Able to obtain additional RN licenses within 30 days if required.
• Familiar with HIPAA and OSHA/CLIA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Receive and triage inbound calls using established protocols.
• Provide guidance per triage protocols and schedule appointments as indicated.
• Maintain accurate information in the Electronic Health Record.
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers and staff.
• Collaborate with Virtual Health team and participate in quality initiatives.

The RN Virtual Health Triage Nurse is responsible for the medical triage of these patients using established protocols and providing specified guidance per said protocols. The RN Virtual Health Triage Nurse is also responsible for scheduling appointments for patients as indicated by the protocol set. The RN Virtual Health Triage Nurse is a member of the Virtual Health Care Team and collaborates with providers at St. Elizabeth Physicians to provide safe, timely, effective, and efficient patient care. As a member of the Virtual Health Team, the RN Virtual Health Triage Nurse must be able to operate on an interdisciplinary team and may be required to participate in other Virtual Health initiatives.
