Job summary
Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare, a Brentwood UHS facility in Flowood, MS, is seeking an Utilization Review Coordinator to monitor continuum utilization and optimize reimbursement. The role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, within a leading behavioral health network.
The ideal candidate is a licensed RN in Mississippi with 1-3 years in psychiatry, or a BSN with 3-5 years in psychiatric settings. Join a large, multi-location system dedicated to patient care and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Minimum: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in Mississippi.
- 1-3 years of psychiatric experience required.
- Preferred: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing with 3 - 5 years experience in psychiatric setting.
Responsibilities
- Proactively monitors utilization of continuum of services and optimizes reimbursement for Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare.
- Monitors adherence to the hospital's utilization review plan to ensure the effective and efficient use of hospital services and monitor the appropriateness of hospital admissions and extended hospital stays.
