Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Utilization Management Nurse Coordinator for Cobb Hospital in Georgia. This PRN Day role focuses on medical necessity reviews, coordinating approvals, and ensuring seamless transitions of care.

You will perform daily utilization reviews, communicate with payers and care teams, and ensure timely authorizations with EPIC. A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience is required; RN license is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years clinical knowledge/experience.
• Ability to conduct medical necessity reviews 24/7 using established criteria.
• Communicate with payers and care teams to coordinate transitions of care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical necessity reviews and determine appropriate level of care.
• Obtain timely authorizations and document in EPIC.
• Communicate with providers, payers, and care teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Support post-discharge/prebill activities to resolve authorization issues.
