The Staff Nurse is responsible for screening patients, providing patients pre- and post-operative teaching, assisting with office procedures, and verifying test results. The Staff Nurse will work collaboratively with the members of the care team to develop treatment plans that will achieve optimal patient outcomesPrincipal duties and responsibilities:Patient Services and Procedures- Administers medications/injections when necessary- Assists with office-based procedures when necessary- Examinations - Performs pre-operative teaching and answers relevant questions- Performs post-operative teaching and answers relevant questions- Facilitates clinical sessions for physicians by reviewing the relevant patient history, physical examinations and reason for the visit, and records this information within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
