Base pay range

$28.00/hr - $30.00/hr

Job Details

Job Title: RN - Med/Surg

Location: Urbana IL

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: NIGHTS; 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Hours Per Week: 36

Hours Per Day: 12

Days Per Week: 3

Holiday Shifts: Every Other

Weekend Shifts: Every Other

Floating Requirements: Float to similar units

Qualifications
  • ASN required; BSN preferred
  • Illinois state RN License in good standing
  • BLS (American Heart Assoc.)
Experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
Responsibilities
  • Perform all responsibilities and duties required by the unit within the scope of practice
  • Implement and modify care plans based on patient assessments and needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care
  • Ensure patient and employee safety by reporting hazards and incidents
  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team
  • Delegate tasks appropriately and validate completion
  • Administer medications following the 5 Rights: Right Patient, Right Medication, Right Route, Right Dose, Right Time
  • Prioritize safety measures such as fall precautions and infection control
  • Respond promptly to patient call lights and needs
  • Use critical thinking to evaluate patient status and act accordingly
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment
