Woodlawn Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Universal Care Unit on the night shift. Join a team that cares for a diverse patient population across pediatrics, orthopedics, medical/surgical, and swing bed units.

The ideal candidate is Indiana-licensed, BLS and ACLS/PALS certified (or willing to obtain within 1 year), with a commitment to flexible scheduling and a desire to grow clinically in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed in Indiana as an RN.
• BLS certification is required before providing direct patient care.
• ACLS and PALS certification required within 1 year or willingness to obtain.
• Adaptable to scheduling variations (overtime, schedule changes, low census).
• Experience with critically ill patients and recovery room education desirable; orientation provided if lacking.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and coordinate care, including medications and IV therapy.
• Assist physicians, transcribe orders, and document observations in the medical record.
• Coordinate patient care with team members and supervise nursing staff.
• Perform age-appropriate assessments and deliver nursing care.
• Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges efficiently.
• Communicate professionally with the care team to prioritize duties.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms per ACLS guidelines and hospital policy.
• Interpret labs and imaging results and report findings to the physician.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn in a flexible, agile team setting.
