Fairview Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Franklin, VA is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to oversee nursing care on the shift, including medication administration, treatments, and documentation. The Nurse Supervisor provides staff supervision and ensures resident health, safety, and welfare by following laws, regulations, and nursing policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current State RN license.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care in a rights-based environment.
• Supervise CNAs and subordinate staff, reviewing assignments.
• Supervise direct care of residents and nursing staff on your shift.
• Present and receive shift reports.
• Round the unit to ensure safe, clean, and quality care.
• Keep physicians and families informed of changes in residents’ condition.
• Assist in developing comprehensive care plans.
• Document care provided and other information in medical records with confidentiality.
• Maintain infection control and standard precautions during care and with equipment.
• Maintain resident comfort, privacy, and dignity, interacting with warmth and respect.
• Respond promptly to call lights and assist as needed.
• Assist with new admissions, readmissions, and transfers within the facility.
• Communicate effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Attend departmental meetings and in-services as directed.
