Job summary

Rome Health is seeking an RN to fill a Unit Manager role, ensuring high quality nursing care in an efficient manner in accordance with state and ANA standards. The role involves establishing goals for the unit(s) and aligning nursing operations with the facility’s mission statement.

The position is a day shift, requiring NY RN licensure, BLS within 3 months, and experience in long-term care. Education or BS in a related field is preferred to support resident care activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with RN licensure in NY.
• BS in related field preferred.
• Education and experience sufficient to meet Rome Memorial Hospital requirements for area of specialty.
• Basic Life Support within 3 months of hire.

Unit Manager

Rome Health is currently seeking an RN to fill a Unit Manager position. This person will ensure that high quality nursing care is delivered in an efficient and effective manner, in accordance with standards developed by the State Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for Nurses, ANA Standards of Care and the philosophy, policies and procedures of the resident care activities, unit operation and staff function. Establishes goals and direction for the unit(s) and ensures that nursing goals and direction compliment the facilities mission statement.

This is a day time position.

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, Basic Life Support required within 3 months of hire; BS in related field preferred. Education and experience sufficient to meet Rome Memorial Hospital requirements for area of specialty.

LICENSES:

Current Registered Nurse License in New York State

EXPERIENCE:

Five years progressive nursing experience. Minimal of one year experience in Long Term Care
