Job summary

Accela Rehab and Care Center at Somerton is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead the nursing unit's daily operations, coordinate resident care, and ensure safe, compassionate, high-quality services.

The RN Unit Manager will supervise RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other staff, develop care plans, monitor regulatory compliance, and promote a collaborative, resident-centered environment for residents and families in Somerton, PA.

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute care settings preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and ensure accurate completion of nursing documentation and medical records.

• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care, concerns, and changes in condition.
• Monitor medication administration and ensure compliance with physician orders and facility policies.
• Assist with staff scheduling, assignments, and coverage as needed.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to nursing staff.
• Participate in staff education, training, and competency programs.
• Monitor infection prevention and control practices.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and standards.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Address resident and family concerns promptly and professionally.
• Assist with surveys, audits, and regulatory inspections.
