Job summary

FutureCare is seeking a Nursing Manager to lead the skilled nursing unit in Maryland. You will oversee daily operations, ensuring quality care in line with nursing standards and state/federal regulations.

You will develop and implement resident care plans, supervise staff, and collaborate with the Director of Nursing and physicians to maintain high-quality care and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred
• 1–3 years of managerial experience and proven leadership
• Current CPR license

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations within the skilled nursing unit to ensure quality service and adherence to nursing standards, FutureCare policies, and state/federal regulations
• Oversee day-to-day care and maintain restorative health for residents
• Develop and implement resident care plans as needed
• Evaluate, prioritize, and meet the care needs of each resident
• Supervise and manage performance of nursing staff to ensure high-quality care
• Collaborate with Director of Nursing and physicians to plan and maintain resident care
• Identify procedural problems and work with DON to resolve issues
• Supervise all clinical nursing practices and engage in clinical activities
• Serve as main contact between residents and families to address concerns
• Perform audits, charting, evaluations, and administrative tasks

• Must hold an active Registered Nurse license issued in the state of Maryland
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university strongly preferred
• 1- 3 years of managerial experience and proven leadership skills a plus
• Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or long-term health care facility
• Must possess a current CPR license

• Acts as a main point of contact between residents and their families and addresses and prevents concerns that may arise
• Perform audits and complete charting, evaluations, medical forms, and other administrative tasks
