Job summary

Cape Cod Post Acute is hiring an RN/LPN Unit Manager to lead nursing operations on a unit and ensure high-quality, resident-centered care. The role reports to the DON and is supported by Marquis Health Consulting Services.

A $12,000 sign-on bonus is paid after 90-day probation, plus $500 monthly for 24 months. We value clinical leadership, regulatory compliance, and team coordination to maintain safe, compassionate resident care.

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered MA LPN or RN license required.
  • BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Minimum five years of nursing experience.
  • Minimum two years of supervisory experience in a nursing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.
  • Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
  • Ensure timely incident reporting with follow-up to Administrator and DON.
  • Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the DON.
  • Assist in development and evaluation of policies and procedures based on clinical needs.
  • Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
  • Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards for optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and improvement.

Responsibilities for Unit Manager
  • Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.
  • Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
  • Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing.
  • Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.
  • Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
  • Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.
Qualifications for Unit Manager
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered active license to practice as an LPN or RN in the state of MA.
  • Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
  • A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting required.
