Job summary

Onyx Care of Ruston is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as Unit Manager, overseeing daily operations of our skilled nursing facility and ensuring exceptional patient care and support.

The Unit Manager will direct nursing assistants, plan shift services, and coordinate patient care activities while working closely with inter-departmental teams to maintain quality standards.

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana Nursing License (Required)
• Current CPR certification (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants
• Meet with your assigned nursing staff, as well as support personnel, in planning the shift's services, programs, and activities
• Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of the shift as required
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required
• Provide leadership to nursing personnel assigned to your unit/shift
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician
• Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel and other departments within the facility

Education
