Job summary

Onyx Care of Ruston is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as Unit Manager, overseeing the daily operations of our skilled nursing facility to ensure exceptional patient care and support. You will lead nursing staff, coordinate shift services, and collaborate with other departments to maintain smooth operations.

This role requires a current Louisiana nursing license; CPR certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Louisiana Nursing License is required.
• CPR Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants.
• Meet with your assigned nursing staff and support personnel to plan shift services and activities.
• Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning shift activities as required.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
• Provide leadership to nursing personnel assigned to your unit/shift.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Develop and maintain good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants

• Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of the shift as required

• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required

• Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel and other departments within the facility
