Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA seeks a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for the busy 1 East Surgical Orthopedic Unit. The role provides clinical leadership, supports safety and quality initiatives, and helps optimize workflow on a 24-bed unit primarily handling orthopedic patients with general medical cases.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN, RN license, and BLS certification (within 90 days of hire) with at least 18 months of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• RN license required
• BLS required within 90 days of hire
• 36 hours per week with third shift (nights)

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area.
• Provides clinical leadership for delivery of nursing care on 1 East Surgical Orthopedic Unit.
• Leads safety and quality initiatives and supports staff development.
