Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring an RN Unit Coordinator for the Med Surg/Specialties unit. This full-time, weekend-night shift (7pm–7am) role combines clinical leadership with day-to-day operations to support safe, high-quality patient care.

You will lead nursing practice in a busy 24-bed unit, coordinate staffing, and promote teamwork. A Virginia license, 18 months of nursing experience, BSN/MSN or RN Doctorate, and BLS are required; comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• 18 months nursing experience
• BSN, MSN, or RN Doctorate from an accredited school
• BLS required within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provide clinical leadership for delivery of nursing care in the department
• Lead safety and quality initiatives, focus on workflow simplification, and contribute to staff development
• Increase staff satisfaction and promote excellent customer service
