Job summary

Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA seeks a Registered Nurse – Unit Coordinator for the Advanced Heart Failure Specialty Unit. The RN Unit Coordinator demonstrates nursing proficiency in the specialty and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care.

Under the department manager, you will lead safety initiatives, improve workflow, and contribute to staff development to enhance patient care and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• BSN required, or MSN
• Virginia RN license or compact/multi-state eligible
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• ACLS within 1 year of hire
• 18 months RN experience

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty area.
• Provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in the department.
• Leads safety and quality initiatives and focuses on workflow.
• Contributes to staff development and increases staff satisfaction.
