Job summary

Vetted Solutions is seeking an RN Triage professional for the Medical Group Care Team Redesign in Arlington Heights, IL. This part-time role (40 hours/week, rotating Saturdays) focuses on telephone triage, patient guidance, and home-based medical advice.

The ideal candidate holds an Illinois RN license with CPR certification and has at least three years of RN experience, preferably with telephone triage. BSN is a plus, and the position requires ability to handle high-stress periods and lifting

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN licensure and CPR certification.
• Minimum three years RN experience; telephone triage experience preferred.
• Office RN and BSN preferred.
• Ability to handle high-stress periods, communicate effectively, and perform physical activities including lifting up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Review patient messages and communicate via phone or MyChart, guiding patients to appropriate care or providing home medical advice.
• Conduct telephone assessments, determine patient needs, and intervene accordingly using nursing skills.
• Evaluate patient understanding, convey information to clinical staff, and utilize resources for sound clinical decisions.
• Assess urgency based on patient history, and coordinate emergency or routine care as needed.
• Offer home medical advice, arrange appointments, and consult with physicians.
• Deliver excellent customer service, address caller concerns, and participate in care coordination and quality initiatives.
