Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Registered Nurse Triage (RN) - Ortho to join its care team at two Illinois locations: Elmhurst and Lombard.

The role involves phone triage, patient education, glucose monitor placement, insurance pre-authorization, and referrals, with flexible hours and some travel to other sites. 40 hours weekly, full-time, with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN licensure.
• Current CPR Certification (AHA).
• Office RN and BSN preferred.
• Self-starter, able to handle periods of high stress.
• Lifts/carries up to 40 lbs and assists with mobility as needed.
• Excellent communication in English (written & verbal).

Responsibilities

• Provide inbound/outbound phone triage and patient education.
• Assess caller needs and perform clinical assessment with problem-solving.
• Manage patient needs with acute and preventive interventions as a RN triage nurse.

Hourly Pay Range:

$35.15 - $54.48 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Registered Nurse Triage (RN) - Ortho
• Location: 1200 S York St, Elmhurst and 130 S Main St, Lombard, IL
• Full Time: 40 hours / week
• Office Hours: Varies Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
• Travel Required: This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs.

What you will do:

• Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Triage Nurse is a Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for patient care needs through the use of inbound and outbound telephone practice. The Triage Nurse continuously demonstrates positive customer relationship skills by assessing caller needs through active listening, clinical assessment, education and advanced problem-solving abilities. The Triage Nurse will actively manage patient's immediate and ongoing needs with attention to acute and preventative intervention. Duties include: phone triage, patient education and continuous Glucose Monitor placement, testing, insurance pre-authorization and referrals, clean and stock exam rooms.

What you will need:

• Current Illinois RN licensure
• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA)
• Office RN and BSN preferred
• Self-starter, able to handle periods of high stress
• Prolonged periods of standing/walking/sitting/bending/reaching/climbing and repetitive use of hands
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and carry/push up to 20 lbs.
• Able to effectively communicate in English, both written & verbal
